San francisco man convicted in 2015 quadruple murder

San francisco – Nearly 10 years after a shocking drive-by shooting in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley neighborhood, District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced the conviction of the man responsible.

Lee Farley, 36, was found guilty by a jury on four counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances for a shooting that occurred on January 9, 2015. That night, Farley ambushed four men in a car on Laguna Street near Page Street around 10 p.m., firing on the vehicle from behind.

The jury determined that Farley committed the murders as part of his involvement in a criminal street gang and while being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Farley was arrested in 2016 while serving time in federal prison in Atwater for unrelated weapons charges.

The victims—Manuel O’Neal, David Saucier II, Harith Atchan, and Yalani Chinyamurindi—left behind grieving families who waited nearly a decade for justice.

“I want to thank the jury for their service,” said District Attorney Jenkins. “I also want to thank the families of the victims for their patience and trust in my office. While we can’t bring back their loved ones, I hope this verdict brings them some comfort.”

Jenkins also expressed gratitude to her legal team and the San Francisco Police Department’s homicide unit for their hard work on the case.

Farley’s sentencing will take place after a bench trial on prior offenses, scheduled for December 16, 2024.
