San Francisco Mourns the Loss of Tricia O’Connor After Blue Angels Tragedy

A tragic incident occurred during a Fleet Week Blue Angels viewing party in San Francisco last Saturday, resulting in the loss of a woman’s life. On Tuesday, the San Francisco Chief Medical Examiner’s Office officially identified the victim as Patricia Hamon, a 51-year-old resident of San Francisco who was known among her friends by her maiden name, Tricia O’Connor.

News of the accident spread through a heartfelt Facebook post by Alix Rosenthal, who expressed the family and friends’ profound sadness regarding the loss of Tricia O’Connor. Rosenthal explained that Tricia had suffered a fatal accident at the Blue Angels party and that plans for a memorial were underway. Tricia O’Connor was described as a bright presence in the community, and her passing was an immense loss for all who knew her.

According to her ex-husband, Clark Hamon, he received information indicating that Tricia had tripped at the Fleet Week event, resulting in the tragic fall that led to her untimely death. The family of the deceased has yet to make any public statements about the incident.

The incident itself unfolded on Saturday when the San Francisco Police responded to a call at 4:04 p.m., reporting a person falling from a building located on Van Ness Avenue, between Chestnut and Francisco streets in the Russian Hill neighborhood. Upon their arrival, they discovered Patricia Hamon suffering from severe injuries. Despite the immediate life-saving efforts of paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office also dispatched investigators to the scene to take charge of the ongoing investigation.
