Shreveport, LA – Severe storms will threaten East Texas and North Louisiana this afternoon and evening. Strong winds will be the primary concern, but isolated tornadoes remain possible.
According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, scattered to numerous thunderstorms will develop through 9 p.m. Some storms could become severe, bringing damaging winds and hail. The affected area includes Deep East Texas, South Central Arkansas, and North/Central Louisiana.
Officials urge residents to stay weather-aware and have multiple ways to receive alerts. It is essential to know your safe place in case a tornado warning is issued.
The threat level is moderate, ranking 2 out of 5 on the severe weather scale. While the tornado risk is low, the potential for damaging winds remains high.
