Shooting investigation underway at South Bay strip mall

An investigation is underway after a shooting took place at a strip mall in Gardena early Tuesday morning.

The gunfire was reported around 2 a.m. at the strip mall located at Rosecrans Avenue and Van Ness Avenue.

It was unclear what led up to the shooting but video showed Gardena police at the scene where a white Kia Soul was seen behind yellow caution tape with multiple bullet holes in it.

There were unconfirmed reports that one person was dead at the scene.
