Another victim has tragically passed away weeks after a shooting incident near an ice cream shop in Northridge. Initially, the incident resulted in the death of one person and injuries to others.
In April, a gunman approached a group of individuals who had volunteered to paint over graffiti on the shop’s wall for free.
Surveillance footage captured the moment when the suspect exited their vehicle and fired multiple shots at the four men, resulting in the death of one of them.
Recently, Benjamin Marin, one of the survivors, succumbed to his injuries, nearly two months after the shooting occurred.
Marin had been bravely fighting for his life, undergoing multiple surgeries. To support his family with funeral and hospital expenses, a GoFundMe page has been established.
Following the shooting, Jamal Jackson from Panorama City was apprehended on suspicion of murder. The 24-year-old is currently awaiting arraignment.
