Shots fired at Southern California event center hosting 3 events at once, deputies say

People inside a crowded event center in San Bernardino County were sent scrambling Saturday, according to deputies.

A media release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department states that dispatch received calls referencing subjects shooting at each other at Maverick Stadium in Adelanto, located at 12000 Stadium Way.

The venue was hosting a Quinceañera, a birthday party and a rally for the High Desert Deuces motorcycle club at the same time, SBSD said.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found “numerous vehicles” exiting the scene but no victims or suspects. However, shell casings from at least two different firearms were located near the stadium entrance.

No further details were available, and authorities are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact Deputy Robert Ramos at the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station by calling 760-552-6800.
