‘Smallville’ star arrested for DUI in Northern California
“Smallville” star Tom Welling was arrested in Northern California early Monday on suspicion of driving under the influence, per reports.
Welling, 47, was arrested in the parking lot of an Arby’s in Yreka shortly after midnight. The arrest was first reported by TMZ and confirmed by booking records.
He was arrested by a Yreka Police officer and booked into Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office custody around 2 a.m., then released at around 7 a.m. An arraignment is scheduled for March 11.
The arrest came just hours after Welling posted an Instagram tribute to his wife Jessica Rose Lee Welling for her birthday on Sunday.

“Happy Birthday to our Angel who makes our dreams come true and inspires us even more! We love you to the moon and back!” Welling wrote. After several years of dating, the pair married in 2019, and share sons Thomson Wylde, 6, and Rocklin Von, 3.
Welling is perhaps best known for playing a young Clark Kent on the Superman origin series “Smallville.” The series ran for 10 seasons, first on the WB, then on The CW, which was formed by a merger between the WB and UPN. He is also known for his roles in the TV series “Lucifer” and the comedy film “Cheaper by the Dozen.”
