South Carolina Winter Advisory Continues: Slick Roads and Subzero Wind Chills Through Today

Spartanburg, SC – Hazardous conditions persist across Upstate South Carolina as freezing temperatures and lingering snow create icy roads. Wind chills as low as -8 degrees and black ice are expected to impact morning commuters today.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. for northeast Georgia and Upstate South Carolina. A Cold Weather Advisory will also persist until noon, warning of hypothermia risks for those outdoors without proper clothing.
Drivers should exercise caution, especially on I-85 and surrounding local roads where black ice may lead to dangerous travel conditions. Temperatures will reach a high of 33 degrees this afternoon, with mostly clear skies predicted.

• Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a high of 40 and a low of 20.
• Friday: Sunny skies, high near 43 and a low of 20.
• Saturday: Clear and sunny with a high near 46 and a low of 24.
• Sunday: Partly sunny with a high of 50, slight chance of overnight showers.
• Monday: Partly cloudy, high of 52.
