Southern California’s ‘Hobbit House’ hits the market
Here’s your chance to own a piece of Los Angeles history. The famed “Hobbit House” – a nine-unit apartment complex that looks like something out of “Lord of the Rings” is for sale.
And you don’t have to travel to Middle Earth to get it. It’s in Culver City.
The two story building, which was designed by a Disney artist and built in the 1940s, has intricate wooden details, a thatched roof, a little moat and a wooden bar.

The asking price is just under $2 million.
