In the early hours of Monday morning, a burglary suspect was apprehended after an attempted break-in at a residence in Sun Valley.
During the intrusion, a confrontation ensued, resulting in gunfire exchanged between the suspect and the homeowner.
The Los Angeles Police Department received reports of gunshots in the vicinity around 7:55 a.m., prompting them to dispatch officers to the 10000 block of Olivia Terrace.
Upon arrival, it was discovered that an individual had forcibly entered a home in the area and engaged in a shootout with the homeowner. Subsequently, the suspect fled from the scene.
Eventually, law enforcement officers managed to locate and apprehend the suspect, who was subsequently hospitalized due to reported breathing difficulties. The current condition of the suspect remains uncertain.
