Tennessee Five-Day Forecast: Rain Ends, Sunshine Returns for Memphis by Friday

Memphis, TN – Memphis residents will see one more day of showers before a shift to sunny, warmer weather heading into the weekend. The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts scattered thunderstorms through Thursday night before dry conditions take over on Friday.

According to the NWS, Thursday will remain rainy, with showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 2 p.m., followed by more showers and storms into the evening. Temperatures will climb to 66°F, with winds reaching up to 25 mph. By Thursday night, rain will taper off, leaving behind partly cloudy skies and a low near 53°F.

Friday marks the beginning of a dry and pleasant stretch, with sunny skies and a high near 63°F. Winds will shift from the west at 10 to 15 mph, making for a crisp but comfortable day. Friday night will be partly cloudy, with temperatures dropping to the mid-40s.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high of 58°F. Light winds will keep conditions calm. Saturday night will be mostly clear, with temperatures falling to 46°F. By Sunday, a warming trend begins, bringing sunny skies and a high of 67°F. South winds between 10-15 mph will make for a breezy but pleasant day.

Early next week, the dry pattern continues, with Monday seeing mostly sunny skies and a high near 68°F. Tuesday will remain sunny, with highs near 60°F.

With rain clearing out, road conditions will improve across the Memphis area. However, lingering wet spots and possible localized flooding from Thursday’s storms may still affect some roadways. Drivers should remain cautious, especially in low-lying areas.
