Memphis, TN – Rising waters along the Mississippi River have prompted an extended Flood Advisory through Friday morning, with roads near Memphis at risk of flooding. Officials warn that Dacus Lake Road in Arkansas and sections near the I-55 Bridge may become impassable as water levels climb.
According to the National Weather Service in Memphis, excessive rainfall has caused the river to swell, with water encroaching on levees and flood-prone areas. Residents are urged to avoid walking near riverbanks and seek alternate routes if encountering flooded roads. More information is available at weather.gov/memphis.
