Tennessee Weather Alert: Warming Trend Brings Rain to Memphis This Week, Starting Tuesday

Memphis, TN – Sunshine and mild weather today will give way to a wet and stormy second half of the week in Memphis. Residents are advised to enjoy clear skies and warmer temperatures now, as heavy rain and possible thunderstorms are forecast by Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service, Monday and Tuesday will remain sunny with highs near 47°F and 57°F, respectively. Winds will stay light, and overnight lows will dip into the low 30s. However, clouds will begin to gather Wednesday, with a 20% chance of showers arriving in the afternoon.
By Thursday, heavier rainfall is expected to impact the region, with a high near 60°F. Commuters along I-40 and Highway 78 should prepare for reduced visibility and slick roads. The rain may intensify into the night, with a 90% chance of precipitation and possible thunderstorms.
Friday will continue the wet trend, with scattered showers and a high of 65°F. Skies are expected to clear by the weekend, bringing drier conditions.
