Nashville, TN – Middle Tennessee is in for a weather shift this weekend, with warmer temperatures and sunny skies replacing the lingering chill. After lows dropping into the low 20s tonight, a gradual warming trend will bring highs nearing 50 degrees by Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday will start partly sunny before becoming mostly sunny by midday, with a high of 36 degrees. Overnight, temperatures will dip to 22 degrees under clear skies. Saturday brings a welcomed boost, with sunny skies and a high of 49 degrees. Calm winds will make outdoor plans ideal for the day.
Sunday continues the mild trend with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 47 degrees. Although the night could see a 20% chance of showers after midnight, temperatures will remain above freezing with a low of 29 degrees. By Monday, sunny skies will return, and highs could climb to 50 degrees, signaling a much-needed reprieve from the cold.
Drivers along major roadways, including I-65 and I-24, can expect clear conditions through most of the weekend, making travel safer and more predictable. However, early morning frost on Friday and Saturday could create slick spots. Residents should exercise caution when driving or walking on untreated surfaces.
Looking ahead, temperatures are forecast to climb even higher into the mid-50s by Tuesday, with sunny skies dominating. The next chance for showers comes midweek, with light rain possible late Wednesday into Thursday.
