Four people who were shot in the early hours of Saturday in Los Angeles are in safe condition. The thing happened in the mail room of an apartment building downtown.
Around 2:00 am, someone was shot in the 1000 block of Ingraham Street. The shooter, who is still at large, was seen by witnesses driving a white BMW SUV.
Three of the victims are black men between the ages of 25 and 30, according to the Los Angeles Police. The fourth victim is a Hispanic woman who is 40 years old.
The victims were standing in front of the 1000 block of Ingraham Street when four Hispanic men got out of a car, walked up to the victims, and started shooting at them.
The suspects ran away after the shooting, and the LAPD said that all four of the people who were shot were taken to a nearby hospital in safe condition. But other sources say that the people who were hurt are in very bad shape.
When the cops got there, they found the four victims lying on the floor of the mail room. They were in very bad shape, so they took them to hospitals right away. The fact that the woman victim is homeless was noticed.
Investigators are looking into the case right now, and they hope that nearby security cams may have caught the suspect on camera.
It’s important to know that crime has been going down in Los Angeles as a whole.
From 2009 to 2019, the rates of crime in Los Angeles changed in many different ways. Some types of crime went down by a lot, while others went up or stayed pretty much the same. Overall, crime in the city was a bit of a mixed bag during this time.
The number of violent crimes in Los Angeles was going down. From 2009 to 2019, the number of homicides dropped by about 30%, with a big drop in gang-related crime. Even though there were changes from year to year, the number of aggravated attacks also went down. But there were some worries about a rise in killings in certain years, like 2015, when there was a big jump.
On the other hand, there were more different types of property crimes. In general, burglaries and thefts were going down, and car thefts went down a lot. But the rate of property crimes, especially thefts, went up sometimes, especially in some years, showing that there were some changes.
Also, some types of crime stayed pretty much the same throughout the time period. The number of robberies didn’t change much over the years; it stayed about the same. But there were some changes, with the number of robberies sometimes going up and sometimes going down.
