Fort Worth, TX – A warming trend begins today in North Texas, bringing sunnier skies and higher temperatures through the end of the week. After a chilly start with highs near 58°F on Wednesday, Fort Worth will warm to 65°F by Thursday afternoon, giving residents a welcome break from the cold.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), tonight will still be cold, with lows dipping to 34°F. However, the region will see clear skies and calm winds, setting the stage for a pleasant Thursday. Drivers on I-35W and other major routes can expect clear conditions, though early mornings will remain chilly, so layering up is advised.
On Thursday, sunny skies and mild winds will dominate, with high temperatures hitting the mid-60s across Fort Worth. This warming trend will peak Friday when temperatures climb to near 70°F. Breezy conditions are expected Friday afternoon, with gusts up to 25 mph. Nighttime lows, however, will hover in the mid-30s to low-40s, so residents should still prepare for colder evenings.
The weekend will bring cooler weather, with a high of 50°F on Saturday and even chillier air Sunday as temperatures drop to 38°F. Gusty north winds are forecast Saturday, making it feel colder.
Residents should take advantage of the warmer days Thursday and Friday for outdoor activities before the colder air returns. Stay updated on weather changes by visiting the NWS website or following local alerts.
