Houston, TX – Drivers in Houston and surrounding areas should prepare for hazardous travel as dense fog reduces visibility to a quarter mile in some locations. A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM Wednesday, affecting major highways, including I-45, I-10, and the Gulf Freeway.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Houston/Galveston, low visibility may make driving conditions dangerous, particularly during the morning commute. Motorists should slow down, use headlights, and leave extra distance between vehicles.

Houston’s Extended Forecast

Wednesday:Patchy dense fog early, then clearing with highs near 78°F.

Thursday:Cloudy morning, becoming mostly sunny with a high of 80°F.

Friday:Areas of morning fog, then sunny with highs near 81°F.

Saturday:Mostly sunny and warm, reaching 83°F.

Sunday:Slight chance of showers, highs in the upper 70s.

While fog remains a concern for early commuters, warmer, sunnier weather is expected heading into the weekend. Stay alert for updates and drive cautiously in low-visibility conditions.
