Dallas, TX – North Texas residents should brace for a wet and stormy week, with heavy rain and thunderstorms expected midweek. While today and Monday will remain mostly dry, the National Weather Service warns of increasing rain chances starting late Tuesday night.
According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms will intensify Wednesday through Thursday, with locally heavy rainfall possible. Drivers are advised to be cautious, particularly on major roadways like I-35 and I-30, where flash flooding may occur.
Monday offers a brief reprieve with mostly sunny skies and highs near 55°F. Tuesday will turn cloudy, with a 30% chance of rain arriving overnight. By Wednesday, rain chances climb to 70%, along with thunderstorms that may bring lightning. Highs will reach the mid-60s before heavy rainfall peaks Thursday, with an 80% chance of showers.
Residents should monitor weather alerts and prepare for potential flooding through Friday. Keep travel plans flexible, as rainfall could disrupt commutes.
