These financial resources are available for Southern California wildfire victims
(KTLA) – Companies and organizations in the L.A. area and elsewhere are taking steps to help Southern California wildfire victims and first responders.
Here are some financial resources for wildfire victims.
- BMO is offering resources to assist its customers who are impacted by wildfires in the Los Angeles area. More information can be found here.
- JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America are also easing mortgage repayment conditions for customers affected by the wildfires.
- Inclusive Action, a nonprofit organization, has launched an emergency fund to help outdoor workers, including street vendors, landscapers and recyclers, impacted by the wildfires. Through the fund, workers can apply for one-time cash assistance support of $500. Recipients will receive cash payments on a first-come, first-served basis, as funding allows.
- Musicares is helping those in the music industry impacted by the wildfires. The organization has funds that can cover evacuation and relocation costs, instrument replacement/repair, home damage, medical care, mental health services and other essential living needs.
- Los Angeles County wildfire victims can apply for disaster assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.
- The easiest way residents can apply for assistance is online. A helpline is also available at 800-621-3362.
- Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation is providing emergency funds to theatrical distribution and exhibition community members affected by the wildfires. The online application can be found here.
- The Salvation Army provides grants to those displaced by fires and financial assistance for immediate and long-term needs.
