Tragic Shooting in Westlake District Claims the Life of 25-Year-Old

A 25-year-old man was fatally shot in the Westlake District on Sunday night, and as of Monday morning, two suspects were still on the loose.

The Los Angeles police stated that the man was shot in the chest near the intersection of 8th and Park View streets, which is approximately one block south of MacArthur Park, around 9:40 p.m.

According to the LAPD, two suspects riding on scooters approached the victim. The victim was shot in front of his family members. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Reportedly, the family was operating a taco stand at the intersection when the suspects arrived on scooters and shot the victim.

The police believe that the shooting may be gang-related, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
