Salt Lake City, UT – Clear skies and mild temperatures will dominate northern Utah through midweek, but rain and snow return this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will be sunny with highs near 37°F, while Thursday brings slightly warmer temperatures at 39°F. Calm winds and clear nights will keep conditions stable through Thursday night, with lows dipping into the mid-20s.

By Friday, clouds increase, and highs reach 45°F before a chance of rain and snow arrives overnight. A wet and cold system moves in on Saturday, bringing likely rain and snow before 11 a.m., then transitioning to rain with a high near 49°F. The pattern continues into Sunday, with scattered rain showers and a high near 54°F.

Motorists should prepare for slick roads, especially in the mountains, as winter weather returns. Those with travel plans into the Wasatch Range should check road conditions before heading out.
