Vermont and Northern New York Weather Alert: Snow and Ice Expected Thursday

Burlington, VT – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Vermont and northern New York from 7 AM to 10 PM EST Thursday, with snow, sleet, and freezing rain expected.
According to the National Weather Service in Burlington, snowfall could total 2 to 4 inches, with up to a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation in areas including Plattsburgh, St. Albans, Montpelier, and Rutland.
Snow will begin Thursday morning before transitioning to a wintry mix of sleet and freezing drizzle by the afternoon, making roads, sidewalks, and bridges hazardous.
