Vermont Weekend Weather: Snow Showers Return Sunday, Slick Roads Expected Across Burlington

Burlington, VT – Snow showers are set to return Sunday across Vermont, with road conditions expected to deteriorate through the weekend. Residents should prepare for slick highways, including I-89, as cold winds and wintry weather impact the area.

According to the National Weather Service, snow showers are likely Sunday morning, with up to half an inch of accumulation possible by midday. Winds will pick up in the afternoon, reaching speeds of 14 mph. Daytime highs on Sunday will hover around 34 degrees, with conditions turning breezier into Monday.

Saturday’s weather will provide a brief reprieve, as mostly sunny skies and a high near 22 degrees are forecasted. However, wind chills could dip to single digits. Saturday night brings increasing cloud cover and south winds at 14 mph, setting the stage for Sunday’s snowfall.

Looking into next week, Monday will remain cloudy with a high near 32 degrees and a 50% chance of additional snow showers, particularly during the afternoon hours. Breezy conditions will persist with south winds reaching 21 mph. Overnight lows into Tuesday will dip to 23 degrees.

Snow showers are expected to linger into Tuesday morning, with a 60% chance of precipitation before 1 p.m. Tuesday’s high will be near 31 degrees. Midweek, cold conditions will remain, with a 30% chance of snow showers on Wednesday.
