Video released of person of interest in O.C. murder investigation

Investigators released new video Wednesday in their search for whoever gunned down a 50-year-old man in the Anaheim area late last year.

The video shows a person of interest walking on a sidewalk moments before the deadly shooting occurred in the 11500 block of Mossler Street on Oct. 13, 2024.

The person appears to be wearing a dark jacket and jeans in the area of the shooting.

Deputies later found the victim, identified as Jorge Sanchez Tapia, with multiple gunshot wounds.

Multiple suspects fled the location after the shooting in what is believed to be a silver or gray-colored Lincoln MKZ sedan.

“Homicide investigators are actively seeking additional information relating to the crime,” the Sheriff’s Department stated in its post sharing the video on Facebook.
