Indianapolis, IN – A warmer week is on the horizon for Indiana, with temperatures rising into the 40s by Monday and Tuesday. Breezy conditions will accompany the shift, with wind gusts reaching 30 mph across the region. Drivers on major roadways like I-65 should remain cautious of sudden gusts Monday through Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service, today will remain mostly cloudy with a high of 31 degrees before gradual clearing tonight. Sunshine returns Monday, pushing highs to 42 degrees. The breezes will persist through Wednesday, with temperatures climbing to a week-high of 46 degrees that day.
Despite the wind, the week is expected to remain dry through Thursday. A slight chance of rain begins late Thursday night, increasing to 40% Friday as a storm system approaches. Weekend highs are expected near 50 degrees.
Locals are advised to secure outdoor items like trash bins and patio furniture due to gusty winds. Enjoy the sunny, mild weather before rain chances return Friday.
