Brooklyn, IL – A warming trend will bring much-needed relief to Illinois and Missouri this weekend as temperatures climb into the 40s, offering a break from the recent bitter cold.

The National Weather Service forecasts sunny skies Friday, with temperatures reaching a high of 33°F. Residents can expect milder weather Saturday, with partly sunny skies and a high of 46°F. Sunday will be slightly cooler, with highs around 37°F under partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows will remain cold, dipping to 25°F Friday night and 26°F Saturday night.

Travelers should exercise caution early in the mornings, as icy patches could linger on roads and bridges. However, Saturday’s calm winds and higher temperatures will create ideal conditions for outdoor activities or errands.

Looking ahead, the warming trend is expected to continue into Monday, when highs could approach 47°F. The region will remain dry through the weekend, providing an excellent opportunity to prepare for potential rain later next week.

Stay updated on the latest weather changes and road conditions, and plan accordingly to take full advantage of the milder weekend weather.
