Washington Weather Alert: Snow Chances Increase in Spokane, Slippery Roads Expected on I-90 This Week

Spokane, WA – Snow is in the forecast for Spokane this week, with chances of accumulation affecting roads, including I-90, and morning commutes. Drivers should prepare for slippery conditions, especially late Monday night into Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service, Spokane will see a 40% chance of snow late Monday night, with temperatures dropping to 16°F. Light accumulations are expected, but roads could still become slick by early Tuesday. A 20% chance of snow continues Tuesday and Wednesday morning, with highs reaching the upper 20s.

By Thursday, another weak system could bring a slight chance of snow, with overnight lows dipping into the teens. Daytime highs will hover around 30°F through the week, keeping roads icy in shaded areas.

Drivers are urged to use caution, especially during early morning hours. If traveling on I-90 or other major routes, allow extra time and watch for black ice. Snowplows will be active, but conditions can change rapidly.
