Wind Advisory Issued for Northwest Indiana and Lake County

Crown Point, IN – A Wind Advisory has been issued for Lake County and other parts of northwest Indiana, effective Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected, with gusts reaching 45 mph, according to the National Weather Service. These winds may lead to hazardous driving conditions, especially for high-profile vehicles on open roadways. Unsecured objects could be blown around, and scattered power outages are possible due to tree limb damage.

Residents are advised to secure outdoor items and use caution during Monday’s high winds.
