Boston, MA – A winter storm continues to impact eastern Massachusetts, with additional snowfall expected through early Sunday afternoon. The National Weather Service has maintained a Winter Storm Warning for the region, which remains in effect until 1 PM EST.

According to the National Weather Service in Boston/Norton, areas including Boston, Cambridge, Lowell, and Plymouth could see an additional 1 to 3 inches of snow before the storm tapers off. Slippery roads and reduced visibility are expected, making travel hazardous throughout the morning.

Drivers are urged to use caution, as untreated roads may remain icy. Officials recommend keeping an emergency kit with a flashlight, food, and water in vehicles for safety.

Cities affected by the warning include Boston, Quincy, Fall River, Framingham, and Brockton, among others. While snowfall is expected to lighten by early afternoon, cold temperatures may keep roads slick into the evening.

Residents should check for updates on road conditions and delays before heading out.
