Winter Storm Watch Issued for New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts

Albany, NY – A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for portions of eastern New York, northwestern Connecticut, and western Massachusetts, with heavy snow possible from Saturday evening through Sunday morning.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Albany, snowfall totals could exceed 7 inches, potentially creating hazardous travel conditions. The affected areas include the eastern Catskills, Schoharie Valley, Helderbergs, Greater Capital Region, mid-Hudson Valley, and the Taconics in New York; Litchfield County in Connecticut; and Berkshire County in Massachusetts.

The storm is expected to bring significant snowfall, making travel difficult late Saturday into early Sunday. Residents are urged to stay updated on forecasts and prepare for possible delays and hazardous road conditions.
