Reading, PA – Residents across Pennsylvania are preparing for a significant snowstorm expected to begin Sunday morning. Snowfall totals could reach 10 inches in some areas, prompting a Winter Storm Watch.

According to the National Weather Service, the storm will impact parts of east central and southeast Pennsylvania, including Reading, Allentown, and Norristown. Forecasters predict snow accumulation between 5 and 10 inches, starting mid-morning Sunday and tapering off by Sunday evening.

The storm may create slick roadways and hazardous driving conditions, particularly on bridges and overpasses. Strong winds combined with heavy snow could damage tree limbs, leading to sporadic power outages across the region.

Authorities urge residents to stay informed by monitoring updates and to avoid unnecessary travel during the storm. Emergency crews recommend preparing with essential supplies, including food, water, and flashlights, in case of power interruptions.

The storm’s heaviest snow is expected between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., with reduced visibility and challenging driving conditions throughout the day.

Local officials encourage everyone to remain cautious and follow winter weather safety guidelines.
