Green Bay, WI – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect across central, east-central, and northeast Wisconsin until 9 AM CST Sunday, with freezing rain and light snow making travel hazardous.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Green Bay, the affected areas include Menominee, Door, Marathon, Shawano, Wood, Portage, Waupaca, Outagamie, Brown, Kewaunee, Waushara, Winnebago, Calumet, Manitowoc, and Southern Oconto counties. Additional snow accumulations are expected to be less than one inch, but freezing drizzle and ice accumulation will create slick conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses.

Drivers should expect slippery roads and reduced traction through the morning commute. Officials urge motorists to slow down and use caution when traveling.

For updated road conditions, call 511 or visit the Wisconsin Department of Transportation website. The NWS Green Bay will continue to provide updates as conditions evolve.
