Wisconsin Weather Alert: Snowstorm to Impact Rock, Jefferson, and Walworth Counties Wednesday

Milwaukee, WI – A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Rock, Jefferson, and Walworth counties, with snow expected to begin Wednesday morning and continue into early Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Milwaukee/Sullivan, snowfall will start around 9 a.m. Wednesday and last until 3 a.m. Thursday, bringing 4 to 6 inches of accumulation. The heaviest snowfall is expected during the Wednesday evening commute, potentially making roads hazardous.

Cities affected include Janesville, Beloit, Watertown, Fort Atkinson, Elkhorn, and Lake Geneva. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation advises drivers to slow down and allow extra travel time, as roads may become slippery.

Residents should prepare for difficult travel conditions and check 511 Wisconsin for real-time road updates. Snowplows will be deployed, but visibility may be reducedduring peak snowfall.
