Milwaukee, WI – Southeastern Wisconsin residents should prepare for a windy start to the week as a Wind Advisory is set to take effect Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Milwaukee/Sullivan.
The advisory will remain in place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, with southwest winds expected to reach speeds of 35 to 45 mph. The strongest gusts are anticipated during the early afternoon, creating potential hazards, including unsecured outdoor items being blown away and challenging travel conditions, especially for high-profile vehicles.
The affected area includes counties across southeastern Wisconsin, where gusts will likely peak near Lake Michigan. Residents are advised to secure trash cans, patio furniture, and other loose outdoor objects ahead of the wind event.
The NWS also encourages drivers to remain cautious on the road, as strong gusts could cause sudden lane changes or limited visibility.
This advisory comes as part of a broader weather pattern impacting the region, though no precipitation is expected alongside the high winds.
