Cheyenne, WY – Strong winds and accumulating snow are expected across southeast Wyoming this weekend, creating hazardous travel conditions and colder temperatures. Residents should prepare for shifting weather, with Friday bringing quiet conditions before snow chances increase Saturday into Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, Friday will start mild with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 40s to mid-50s. Winds will increase by the afternoon, bringing cloud cover ahead of a developing storm system.

By Saturday, snow will move in from the west, spreading eastward throughout the day. Wind gusts up to 30 mph could create reduced visibility, especially in open areas and along Interstate 80. Highs will range from the upper 30s west of Cheyenne to the mid-50s in the east.

Sunday will bring widespread snow and rain showers, with windy conditions persisting. Morning lows will dip into the 20s, and highs will struggle to reach the mid-40s. Snow accumulation could impact travel into Monday.
