Authorities Arrest Gang Members After Daylight Stabbing in Thousand Oaks

Four individuals, including three documented gang members, have been arrested in connection with a violent stabbing that occurred last month in Thousand Oaks.

The suspects have been identified as Henry Tronconi, 19, from Newbury Park; Joanky Galvez, 18, from Newbury Park; Joshua Galvez, 23, from Thousand Oaks; and a 17-year-old juvenile from Thousand Oaks.

Details of the Incident

The stabbing occurred around 11:30 p.m. on May 22, at the 1600 block of Calle Diamonte. Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene to find the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim was immediately taken to a local hospital and remained in serious condition for a week following the attack.

After investigating the incident, authorities confirmed that the attack was gang-related and involved one of the suspects using a sharp-edged weapon to assault the victim.

The Arrests

Following weeks of investigation, the four suspects were identified:

  • Henry Tronconi was arrested on June 20 near Calle Turquesa and Avenida del Platino in Newbury Park.
  • Joshua Galvez and Joanky Galvez were arrested on June 24 near Alamo Street and Tapo Canyon Road in Simi Valley.
  • The 17-year-old juvenile was arrested the following day.

Charges and Bail

The three adults, Tronconi, Joshua Galvez, and Joanky Galvez, were booked into the Ventura County Pre-trial Detention Facility and are facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy, and street terrorism. Bail has been set at $250,000 for each of the adults.

The juvenile suspect was booked into the Ventura County Juvenile Justice Center and will await a future court date with similar charges.

Ongoing Efforts Against Gang Violence

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office has reiterated its zero-tolerance stance against gang violence and continues to urge the public to report any suspicious gang activity.
