A romantic getaway turned into a nightmare after 51-year-old Brian Tarrence of New York City mysteriously vanished while vacationing with his wife in the Caribbean.
Last Seen Before Dawn
Tarrence and his wife were staying at the Inn at Grace Bay, an Airbnb near the beach. The couple had enjoyed a boat ride and dinner on the evening of June 24.
But in the early hours of June 25, around 3:40 a.m., Tarrence was reportedly seen walking toward the downtown area wearing a T-shirt and shorts. He had his phone and wallet with him. That was the last time anyone saw him.
No Trace, No Leads
Island police and a private investigator hired by the family have been working to track his movements, but so far, there’s been no trace.
Investigator Carl Defazio, a former NYPD detective, said he’s trying to locate any activity — a phone ping, credit card use, anything that might offer a lead.
“I’m looking to find something that shows where he was last, whether it be a charge card or a phone. Then, maybe I’m leaning towards more criminality than anything else,” Defazio said.

Family Left Searching for Answers
Tarrence, who most recently lived in Manhattan and previously in Monroe, Orange County, had no known health issues, according to Defazio. His disappearance has left his family in anguish and desperate for answers.
