Binghamton, NY – Snow showers are forecast to persist across central New York on Thursday, creating hazardous travel conditions on major roads. Areas in Oneida County, including Point Rock, reported up to 16 inches of snow as of Tuesday night, with additional accumulation expected.
According to the National Weather Service in Binghamton, snow showers and squalls could bring another 2 inches of snow to some areas Wednesday night into Thursday. Temperatures will remain cold, ranging from 13°F overnight to a high near 25°F Thursday, creating icy and slippery roads. Residents are urged to exercise caution, particularly on secondary roads and highways like Route 69 near Point Rock.
