DELAND, FLORIDA — Two Florida men, Carter Jeffries, 24, and Christian Gennaro, 19, have been arrested after allegedly hosting a party that involved alcohol and two dozen minors, some as young as 14 years old.
The Party
The incident took place on Tuesday night, west of DeLand, Florida, when Jeffries and Gennaro reportedly threw a party with alcoholic beverages for underage attendees.
According to Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood, deputies responded to the situation after receiving a report about the gathering.
At the party, deputies discovered that alcohol was being served to minors, with around 24 kids in attendance. Authorities confirmed that the youngest attendees were 14 years old.
Following the incident, all of the minors were safely picked up by their parents.
Charges Against the Suspects
Jeffries, a resident of Casselberry, is facing 24 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and 30 charges of providing alcohol to a person under 21.
Authorities said Tito’s bottles were found in his backpack during the investigation.
Gennaro, a DeLand resident, is facing similar charges, with 24 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The Aftermath
Thanks to the swift response from local authorities, the minors at the party were safely returned to their families. The arrests of Jeffries and Gennaro have raised concerns about underage drinking and the risks posed by such gatherings.
