Fast & Furious—Supercharged closing at Universal Studios Hollywood on Monday
Universal Studios Hollywood is set to close its Fast & Furious—Supercharged, the final attraction of the world-famous Studio Tour, on Monday after a decade-long run.
The immersive 3D experience takes Studio Tour guests into the underground hideout of Dominic Toretto, Letty Ortiz and Roman Pearce as they embark on a high-speed escape from the villainous Owen Shaw.
The theme park teased that an announcement would be coming soon on what will replace the Fast & Furious grand finale.
Rumors have swirled that a “Wicked” themed attraction could be the new grand finale after a Universal Studios executive teased a “secret plan” for the film’s inclusion at its parks.
Theme park fans have also theorized that “How to Train Your Dragon,” Universal Monsters, or Jason Bourne, could replace Fast & Furious.
Prior to Fast & Furious, the studio tour grand finale was home to Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb, a revolving tunnel shrouded in darkness inspired by the 1999 film.
Before that, the tunnel was home to a snow-packed glacier that featured a simulated avalanche.
