Hollywood, California — A Final Farewell to Beetle House LA, After nearly a decade of serving up spooky fun and Halloween thrills year-round, Beetle House LA has announced that it will permanently close its doors on July 1.
The Halloween-themed restaurant and bar in Hollywood had become a beloved spot for fans of all things spooky, offering an immersive dining experience with live performances, a nightclub atmosphere, and a menu filled with ghoulish delights.
Reasons Behind the Closure
The restaurant shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, listing a variety of reasons for its closure. Among the factors cited were the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact of recent wildfires in Los Angeles, and the current immigration crisis.
However, the main reason for the decision was “third-party theft and broken agreements,” which have created significant financial strain on the business.
“We’re facing some really hard decisions. Whether we close, or move, or take one last shot to save this place… we don’t know yet,” the owners wrote in the post. “This is embarrassing. It’s heartbreaking. It’s not the post we ever wanted to write—but it’s the truth. You’ve been our family, our friends, our community for 8 years, and we need to be honest with you.”

“We need to raise a significant amount of money to pay our bills and our rent, etc. We still think we have a lot more to offer, and we want to stay alive, but we just don’t have the options right now,” the GoFundMe reads.
Looking Ahead
While Beetle House LA will close its Hollywood location, its New York City counterpart will remain open. The Los Angeles location’s closure marks the end of an era for fans of the restaurant, who enjoyed the one-of-a-kind Halloween-themed experience year-round.
