Here’s how much rain this late-week storm will drop on Southern California
The second storm system this week has arrived in Southern California and is expected to keep conditions cool, cloudy and rainy through Friday.
“You’re going to notice it feels like a drizzle, some very light rain,” KTLA’s Kirk Hawkins said about the conditions early Thursday morning.

While drizzle and light showers will pop up most of the day Thursday the most likely chance of rain arrives between 6 p.m. Thursday and noon Friday for Los Angeles.
Rain totals are expected to be somewhat similar to the storm that passed through earlier in the week, with less than an inch expected to fall in most areas.
Some mountain and foothill locations could see up to two inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service.
Motorists were warned of potential traffic delays due to localized roadway flooding but as of now, there is a “very low risk for burn area debris flows,” the Weather Service stated.
Showers are expected to taper off Friday afternoon in Los Angeles County and later Friday evening for parts of the Inland Empire.
“Dry weather is expected over the weekend into early next week with below-normal temperatures,” according to the Weather Service.
Another storm system appears to be in the works for the middle of next week. “Still working on the timing and still working on the accumulations there,” Kirk said.
