Missouri Braces for Freezing Rain and Drizzle Through Wednesday

Country Herald is Local News, Independent Pulse. Covering breaking local news, sports, lifestyle and events.

Kansas City, MO – A weather system is set to bring freezing drizzle and light ice accumulation to central and eastern Missouri through Wednesday, impacting areas along and north of I-70.

According to the National Weather Service Kansas City, the heaviest ice accumulation is expected east of Highway 63, though overall amounts will remain light. Above-freezing temperatures could limit icing duration in southern areas, but bridges and elevated surfaces may become slick. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for affected regions.

Drivers are urged to exercise caution, particularly on untreated roads and overpasses.
