Kansas City, MO – The first week of February kicks off with above-normal temperatures, but changes are coming by midweek. Highs will reach the 60s on Monday before a cooling trend settles in, bringing rain and possible freezing drizzle late Tuesday into Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Sunday and Monday will be unseasonably warm, with highs near 62°F and 63°F, respectively. However, a system moving in Tuesday night could drop temperatures into the 30s, with a chance of rain and freezing drizzle for northern Missouri.

Tuesday will see highs in the mid-40s with mostly cloudy skies, while Wednesday brings a chance of precipitation and highs around 45°F. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 20s by midweek, signaling a return to seasonable winter conditions.

Looking ahead, Thursday and Friday will be drier but cooler, with highs in the low 40s and partly sunny skies.

Travelers should be cautious of potential slick roads Wednesday morning, especially in northern Missouri. Stay updated on changing conditions and prepare for cooler, wetter weather midweek.
