Stabbing prompts emergency response at high school in Los Angeles
Police and firefighters responded to a stabbing report at a high school in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles Wednesday morning.
The incident was reported around 8:40 a.m. at Benjamin Franklin Senior High School, according to a spokesperson from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A male suspect, believed to be 20 years old, stabbed the victim on school grounds, LAPD Officer Miller said.
Investigators determined the suspect then fled the scene and ran into a nearby neighborhood, Miller said.
A caller who reported the incident to the Fire Department said the victim had been stabbed in the face.
There was no immediate word on the identity or condition of the victim.
The suspect was taken into custody a short time after the stabbing, Miller said.
Aerial video from Sky5 showed several police units still at the school still investigating the incident at 9:30 a.m.
