Glens Falls, NY – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for eastern New York and southern Vermont from 7 AM to 6 PM EST Thursday, with snow and freezing rain expected.

According to the National Weather Service in Albany, areas including Herkimer, Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties in New York, as well as Bennington and Windham counties in Vermont, could see 2 to 4 inches of snow and a light glaze of ice.

Snow will begin Thursday morning before transitioning to a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain by early afternoon, creating hazardous road conditions for both the morning and evening commutes. Drivers should allow extra time and use caution when traveling.
