Salt Lake City, UT – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for parts of Utah and southwest Wyoming until 11 a.m. MST Sunday, with snow and strong winds creating hazardous driving conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, affected areas include the Wasatch Plateau/Book Cliffs, Bear Lake and Bear River Valley in Utah, and southwest Wyoming near Evanston and Lyman. Snow accumulations are expected to range from 1 to 4 inches, with winds in Wyoming reaching up to 50 mph, leading to blowing and drifting snow.

Motorists should expect slick roads, reduced visibility, and potential delays, especially along Soldier Summit between Spanish Fork and Price, as well as mountain routes in Wyoming. The Utah and Wyoming Departments of Transportation advise drivers to check road conditions before traveling at udottraffic.utah.gov and wyoroad.info.

Snow levels are expected to rise by Sunday morning, gradually transitioning to rain in some areas. Travelers are urged to slow down and remain cautious. For updated forecasts, visit weather.gov/slc/winter.
