SAN DIEGO — Last week, a man died after being hit by a car and then run over by another car in the Talmadge neighborhood. The man has now been identified by officials.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office says that Antonio Mateo Antonio, 38, was crossing the street in the 5000 block of El Cajon Boulevard on May 25 when he was hit by a Honda car.
Authorities say that after the accident, the man was lying in the street and was then hit by another car. This time, it was a Toyota Corolla that was involved.
When paramedics got to the scene, they tried to save Antonio’s life. However, the pedestrian was declared dead in the street. The medical examiner’s office said that he died from multiple blows to the head.
There were no other injuries reported in connection with this incident.
