Massive Blaze Engulfs Harbor Gateway District Building in Los Angeles

A colossal inferno consumed a structure in the Harbor Gateway district of Los Angeles on a Sunday.

The fire erupted shortly before 2:30 p.m. at 442 West Rosecrans Avenue, as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department.

According to an official statement by LAFD, “The building’s roof has entirely collapsed, with the roof being the primary source of fuel, as the building appears to be unoccupied. Embers from the fire seem to have ignited a 50-foot trailer several structures away from the blaze… the trailer was ablaze and posed a threat to another large commercial building.”

Fortunately, firefighters managed to douse the trailer fire before it could encroach upon the nearby structure, as confirmed by LAFD.

Various video footage on the Citizen App offers multiple perspectives of the fire, including shots taken from vehicles and pedestrians on the same street where the conflagration occurred.

Fire officials have requested additional resources, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department is also present at the scene, providing assistance as needed.
