Massive Fire Breaks Out in Downtown Los Angeles Storage Yard

A massive fire broke out at a storage yard, causing thick smoke to rise into the sky in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon.

The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) swiftly responded to the incident near San Pedro and Seventh Streets at approximately 3:20 p.m.

Several individuals, including residents from an adjacent apartment building, were observed fleeing the area.

Although the exact source of the fire remained unclear, precautionary measures led to the evacuation of nearby buildings.

By 4 p.m., the majority of the fire had been extinguished, but firefighters remained on-site to address any lingering hot spots.

The smoke from the blaze was visible as far as the West L.A. area during its peak. While the cause of the fire remained unknown, there were no reports of serious injuries.
